Cindy, a horror writer, director, and producer from Sweden, emerged from the Arctic Circle's Kiruna to make her mark in Umeå. With a lifelong passion for horror and storytelling cultivated from childhood, she honed her craft through theater and dabbled in photography. Transitioning to film, she debuted with "Atrophy" in 2019, followed by nine award-winning shorts, establishing her own production company, Uncanny Pictures.
As a child, I dreamed of becoming a poet. That passion led me to the works of Tim Burton, whose unique storytelling has been a major inspiration in my creative journey. I always aspired to create both animation and film, and when the opportunity finally arose, I seized it. I took an old, whimsical poem I had written and began sketching the storyboard while assembling a team, including an animator. The style of the project draws inspiration from Tim Burton’s *Vincent* and the nostalgic charm of the classic children’s series *Courage the Cowardly Dog*.
